The Voting Process

No matter how the voting process looks, every single member is valued equally, and we will strive to make the voting process fair. To make it as reasonable and straightforward as possible, the voting process will be based heavily on qualifications (both character qualities and ability to fulfill the duties of the position). Because members are the glue that hold together YWIS, member input in choosing directors for the board will be greatly considered. Below is an example of a fair voting process that can be adjusted as necessary (based on member input). Written Qualification Paragraph

Those interested in a board position will write a paragraph on why they are fit for the position, including their personality traits, interests outside of school, and plans for the role being applied for. During a meeting before the voting occurs, candidates will get in front of the club for 1-2 minutes describing what they’re applying for and why they are right for the role. Voting will be done by club members based on the verbal and written answers, and will be done using a Google Form.
